After emptying my flat of any musical instrument (by selling each one eBay), i began to think about what guitar can feet my needs. My birth day is on april 15th. I gather money from family and friends to honor my project to buy *the* guitar and took a day off. I have a 1,500 euros budget.

I went twice at rue de douai to chat with guitars sellers and try a few one. My attention begin to focus on Martin guitars as Gibson was out of budget and Canadian ones were under-budget.

After testing dozen of guitars (Martin D-16, D-15, D-18…) and 3 hours of chating, some guy asked me about the extensibleness of my budget… he’s selling a Gibson J-200 for a friend of his. I enter the guitars shop and begin to play a few chords. Amazing sound, amazing playability and an incredible beautiful sunburst. While everyone in the shop begin to look at it, i decide to have a break and think about it … The price was *only* 1,800€. I gathered a few information on the J-200 from shops around. The guitar cost 3,500€ and can’t be ordered as gibson make it only when they decide to…

I needed to have a fresh review and call (François) a friend of mine to tell him the whole story. I realize after 2min of chatting that the choice between a martin and a gibson J-200 can’t be discussed ! So i went back to the guitars shop and paid a 1,800 euros to go with the guitar… The flightcase is huge, i’ll come back later to take it back home ! I just want to take the J-200 away now :)
